Thursday Thoughts

Thoughts lately...

1) How is insurance not a form of gambling? I mean, really?

2) I feel like the return of the phrase, "No shit, Sherlock," is long overdue, and am in fact kind of surprised it hasn't already reared it's head.

3) I persist in shaving in this weather, and really I have no idea why. We're living in a new Ice Age. Nobody cares what my legs look like, and furthermore, nobody is going to be seeing them.

Ha! I totally agree with point two, and considering how many times I use the term I think it must be cool again, because I'm hip, right? Yeah, not so much. My son not so politely rolls his eyes, pulls his hoodie over his head and whispers, "Please, Mom. You're embarrassing me." To which I reply, "No shit, Sherlock. That's my goal in life."

As for point three. Right there with you. My razor hasn't seen any action in months, and won't until it's time to wear capris again. And then it will only shave to the capri line. I mean, really, why go any higher until we absolutely have to?

Insurance isn't gambling. It's a sure thing for insurance companies.

So I guess the question is, do you want to gamble on getting hurt or not getting hurt?

And you're shaving despite the freezing temperatures because you know it'll only be grosser later if you let it grow out.
