Thursday Thoughts

Thoughts lately...

1) Chewbecca carries a crossbow, but we never see him use it.

2) We know what an aftertaste is. An afterburn on the eyes would be an aftersee. An echo would be an afterhear. So what is an afterfeel?

3) My b/f gives me a hard time about how deeply and how long I can sleep. He won't think it's so funny when we all have to go into stasis.

At the risk of being Kessel*, he does use the crossbow. It doesn't shoot arrows though, it's just a blaster that has a pointless crossbow look to it.

*Kessel is a term me and my friend came up with when he was quoting that line with the "Castle Run" and I was like "Dude, it's Kessel." And he was like, "Dude, your Kessel." And I agreed I was being Kessel. Whenever a nerd tries to correct you about something like this that doesn't matter, they are being Kessel.

Did he do the Kessel run in 12 parsecs? I mean that's the real question, right?

And sadly, my boyfriend actually corrected me on the crossbow actually being a blaster. I posted anyway b/c I think it's worth noting :)

Have you ever hit your thigh on something sharp, and the pain is dull at first, then feels like you're dying? I'd wager that is an afterfeel.

Deb makes a good point - also when you get hit right on the kneecap. It's like ouch that HUUUUURTT SON OF A BITCH!

I think phantom limb syndrome might count as "afterfeel".

Also a parsec is a measurement of distance not time, so if Han Solo did the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs, so did everyone else. We still don't know who did it faster.

Maybe accustomed, lingering sensations like being on a boat or how you feel like a bug is still walking on your after you've brushed it off.

I find it endlessly amusing that my silly Thursday Thoughts invite the most comments :) I also absolutely love it!
