Book Talk & Giveaway: A STUDY IN CHARLOTTE by Brittany Cavallaro

My book talks are coming at you from a librarian, not a reviewer. You won't find me talking about style or craft, why I think this could've been better or what worked or didn't work. I only do book talks on books I liked and want other people to know about. So if it's here I probably think it won't injure your brain if you read it.

Jamie Watson knows the long and often sticky relationship between his family and the Holmes family. The descendants of the famed sleuthing pair have mostly kept their distance from each other, every Watson warning the next that a Holmes is only going to spell trouble for them - and emotional turmoil.

But when Jamie gets a rugby scholarship to an American boarding school that happens to be the same one Charlotte Holmes attends, their classmates love trying to throw them together. And Jamie doesn't exactly mind. Though Charlotte is distant, moody, and clearly has a drug problem, there's definitely something about her that has his attention.

When they two of them are framed for a murder they didn't commit, and the crime scene is littered with references from an Arthur Conan Doyle story, they have to team up to clear their names.
